Tuesday's revelation that free agent wide receiver Tyreek Hill had been found liable on two counts of battery regarding allegations of domestic violence made by his estranged wife sparked further questions regarding his potential return to NFL in-game action this fall.
According to big-name agent Drew Rosenhaus, Hill was still receiving interest from teams as of Wednesday.
"Hill’s agent Drew Rosenhaus said he remains in discussion with multiple teams regarding his free-agent WR client," ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed on Wednesday.
"Nothing is imminent at this time," Rosenhaus told Schefter. "[Hill is] continuing his rehab with the goal of being on a team in the immediate future."
Hill has spent 2026 recovering from the gruesome knee injury he suffered while with the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 29, 2025. While numerous stories have linked him with a return to the Kansas City Chiefs, Hill's NFL home from 2016 through the 2021 season, the Chiefs have been free to sign him since he was released this past February. As of Wednesday afternoon, Kansas City seemed in no hurry to keep Hill from possibly joining a different team.
Specifically, the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts and Las Vegas Raiders have been mentioned as clubs that could pursue receivers before the No. 10 trade deadline.
Outside of potential concerns related to Hill's health, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has repeatedly pointed out that the NFL's investigation into the accusations made against Hill "is independent" of the civil verdict. Early Wednesday morning, Florio suggested that the NFL could put Hill on paid leave immediately after he signs with any team. As of Wednesday, it was unknown how long Hill could remain on paid leave if such a development played out.
The Houston Texans presumably are no longer a possible landing spot for Hill after they acquired Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals. Jauan Jennings of the Minnesota Vikings, Brian Thomas Jr. of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jerry Jeudy of the Cleveland Browns and Quentin Johnston of the Los Angeles Chargers are among the noteworthy receivers who reportedly could be traded before Nov. 10.
