After a trip to the 2025-26 NBA Finals, and with Victor Wembanyama just starting to enter the prime of his career, expectations are going to be sky-high for the San Antonio Spurs this season.
It might only be the preseason, but Wembanyama showed why on Friday night.
In the first quarter of Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings, Wembanyama went on a solo coast-to-coast run that saw him collect a defensive rebound, move the ball effortlessly up the floor, throw a lob-pass to himself off the backboard and then finish the dunk off the glass.
Have a look.

Wembanyama finished the 2025-26 season third in the NBA's MVP voting and won the league's Defensive Player of the Year award, while also averaging 25.0 points per game. He displayed pretty much all of that skill set on that one play.
The sky is the limit for him in terms of his individual upside, and as long as he keeps progressing the way he has, the Spurs are going to be serious NBA contenders for the foreseeable future.
