Week 7 was chaotic day of futility for NCAA top-10 teams

It was a bad weekend to be a top-10 team in college football.

Week 7 turned out to be one of the most chaotic days in the history of college football, at least as it relates to the AP rankings, given how many top teams lost and the way they lost.

Of the top-seven teams in the AP poll entering play on Saturday? A staggering five of them were beaten.

Of the two teams that did win, they both came down to a matter of inches.

Just a quick rundown of the chaos...

It is going to cause havoc at the top of the polls on Sunday, and leaves a lot of questions as to how the voters will untangle all of this.

Does so many teams losing give the voters a bailout to not change much?

Does Miami move up to No. 1? Is it Ohio State? Is it a sign that everything about this season is wide open for a championship with no clear-cut front-runner?

Whatever the case may end up being, it was an eye-opening day across the sport.
