Hats off to the Florida Panthers.
Literally.
After Brady Tkachuk recorded a natural hat trick (three consecutive goals scored by one player) in each of their past two games, the hat trick parade continued on Saturday in their 8-3 win over the Seattle Kraken.
Including one that resulted in the Panthers making some NHL history.
Forward Carter Verhaeghe continued the natural hat trick parade on Saturday with three consecutive goals against the Kraken, starting with a late first-period goal and then continuing with two more early in the second period.
When he scored his third goal, it made the Panthers the first team in NHL history to have a natural hat trick in three consecutive games.

As if that is not enough hat trick madness, Sam Bennett added an additional hat trick for the Panthers (but not a natural hat trick) with his first three goals of the season.
The Panthers have one of the deepest forward groups in the NHL, and it has been on display in a big way in recent games. They are also doing that while their best forward, center Aleksander Barkov, is out of the lineup for several weeks due to a leg injury. When he returns, the Panthers are going to have one of the league's most formidable lineups and should once again be a serious Stanley Cup contender.
