As if a 2-4 start in a year where they were considered Super Bowl favorites wasn't enough, the Los Angeles Rams season continued on a downhill slide with injury news on Monday.
According to Rams head coach Sean McVay, star wide receiver Davante Adams is expected to miss 6-10 weeks after suffering a ruptured hamstring in Sunday's loss.
Adams appeared to be in serious discomfort after suffering the injury Sunday, and with it being non-contact, many expected it to be a worrisome injury.
That has now ultimately come true, and an already struggling Rams offense will now be without one of the receivers who leads the NFL in touchdowns since the start of last season (18).
Adams was off to another outstanding start this season, hauling in 30 catches for 480 yards with four touchdowns.
Rams HC Sean McVay told reporters that WR Davante Adams ruptured his hamstring and now will be sidelined 6-10 weeks.

The immediate thought is that superstar receiver Puka Nacua will be able to step up and produce at an even higher level than he already has. While that is certainly possible, it's also possible that defense does everything in their power to prevent Nacua from being the one to beat them.
If the latter of those two outcomes is what happens, then someone else will have to step up and become the clear No. 2 option for quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Whether that be Tyler Higbee, Konata Mumpfield, Terrance Ferguson or anyone else, Los Angeles will need someone to emerge and help the offense get off the struggle bus it's been on through six games.
The only silver lining of Adams' injury would be the timing of when it happened. Los Angeles will play three of its next four games against teams under .500, a stretch it should be able to manage without Adams on the field.
Additionally, the Rams' bye week comes in Week 11, which would be five weeks into Adams' recovery. If all things were to go perfectly, there's a possibility he returns for the final four to six games of the season and aims to help Los Angeles make a late-season playoff push.
