New York Giants coach John Harbaugh will be on the shelf for a bit thanks to a rather enthusiastic celebration with one of his players.
Harbaugh wound up going to ground during a celebratory hug with Devin Singletary after the running back broke off a 30-yard run to beat the Houston Texans in overtime.
Harbaugh admitted he was feeling “day-to-day,” and expressed some embarrassment regarding how unathletic the whole incident made him feel.
“I’m day-to-day right now,” Harbaugh joked. “It’s so bad. It’s so terrible. As I was going down, I just felt like a total non-athlete. Over the hill, washed up. I just felt so weak, so pathetic.”

Harbaugh may not look it, but he’s 64 years old, so it’s understandable that he would be a little banged up from all this. On the other hand, he’s gone out and intentionally tackled one of his players this season, so maybe he should be a bit more well-equipped here.
The vibes are good in New York right now. Despite injury problems, they are 4-2-1 and could be serious contenders in the NFC East if this keeps up.
