The New York Giants have a 4-2-1 record in John Harbaugh's first year as the team's head coach.
The Giants lost star quarterback Jaxson Dart to a season-ending injury in September, and trade acquisition J.J. McCarthy has played decently.
The Giants have also seen problems in the running back room, although Cam Skattebo responded after a recent benching to rush for 124 yards and a score in the 27-21 win over the Houston Texans on Sunday.
The Giants are now entering their bye week, but GM Joe Schoen said running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. is headed to injured reserve with a hamstring injury. Schoen added that the Giants added Greg Desrosiers Jr. to the roster, and he was recently on the Los Angeles Chargers' practice squad. Schoen then added that Tracy's injury won't be long-term, so that's a breath of fresh air for the Giants.
#Giants GM Joe Schoen tells reporters during his bye-week press conference RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. is being placed on IR with a hamstring injury suffered Sunday in the win over the #Texans. Not a long-term injury but he’s down four games.

Tracy has 55 yards rushing and two touchdowns this season, including trips to the end zone in each of the last two games.
He was a fifth-round pick in 2024. In Tracy's absence, former Buffalo Bills RB Devin Singletary is the next man up, and he had five carries for 41 yards and a touchdown against the Texans. The Giants will face the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9 after their bye.
