Even in defeat, Jackson Chourio made MLB postseason history for the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night. He may have to wait one more day to be crowned a champion, but Chourio continued his streak with multiple hits nonetheless.
In fact, Chourio's two-hit night, despite the Brewers eventually losing 4-3 in 12 innings, gave him at least two hits in every game of the World Series so far. And by doing so, he became just the 10th player to ever record more than one hit in the first four games of a World Series, as per Sarah Langs' research.
Chourio's 2026 hit parade makes him only the second player with multiple hits in four straight World Series games in the last 40 years and the first since Todd Zeile for the New York Mets in 2000.
And of course, at just 22, as has been the case with his entire magical effort in the playoffs, Chourio now owns the distinction of being the youngest as well.
Chourio now has 10 total hits with two RBI, four runs scored, a pair of doubles and three stolen bases against the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series. Overall in the playoffs, he has 16 hits, two home runs and nine RBI with a .291 batting average, a .310 OBP and a .436 slugging percentage.
Chourio's postseason production followed the best regular season of his short career, as he registered a 4.9 bWAR campaign with 25 homers, 75 RBI, 152 hits, 96 runs and 23 stolen bases to go along with a slash line of .291/.351/.487 in 522 at-bats across 127 games played.
But most importantly, Chourio and his team still hold a 3-1 series lead and are just one win away from winning the Brewers' first World Series championship.
