It was reported Wednesday morning that the Indiana Pacers would be without their star point guard Tyrese Haliburton for an unknown amount of time.
Haliburton suffered a left hamstring injury, and after a day full of imaging and consultations with the organization and doctors, he now has a timeline for his recovery.
According to Indiana head coach Rick Carlisle, Haliburton has a "mild strain" of his hamstring and is being listed as week-to-week.
Carlisle told reporters to check back in on Haliburton's status in about two weeks, as he does not believe it's realistic for the star point guard to return before then.
It is a major blow for an Indiana team that is now without its starting point guard, Haliburton and backup point guard T.J. McConnell, who is dealing with a hamstring injury of his own.

Haliburton dealt with multiple hamstring injuries during the 2023-24 season, as well as suffering a torn Achilles at the end of the 2024-25 season.
We saw what the Pacers were capable of when he's healthy and commanding the offense, something that fans should remember when wondering and hoping if Haliburton can get back as soon as possible.
For Indiana to have a chance at getting back to competing atop the Eastern Conference, it will need Haliburton at 100% health before he returns to the floor.
