Miller Lite launches limited-edition 'Clinch Can' to celebrate Brewers' first World Series title

After the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series, many fans will grab a beer to celebrate. They can now chug a cold one brewed the exact moment the Brewers clinched their first Fall Classic.

Miller Lite announces limited-edition cans

On Wednesday night, Milwaukee-based Miller Lite introduced the special-edition "Clinch Can." The cans contain beer brewed in Milwaukee at 11:13 p.m. ET, when the Brewers beat the Rays 4-1 in Game 5. Per Miller's website, 4,400 cans will be available for purchase.

Fans 21 and older can reserve a can at the Miller Brewery Tour Center in Milwaukee. Reservations are first-come, first-served. Reservations open Monday at 1 p.m. ET. Additional dates include Nov. 15, Nov. 21 and Nov. 22.

Miller speaks on limited-edition cans

"This is the biggest win in Brewers' history. As the official beer of our hometown team — one named after beer, no less — we knew we couldn't just sit back and say 'congrats,'" Courtney Benedict, the vice president of marketing for Miller Family of Brands, said in a statement (h/t Max White of WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee). "The only question was how to celebrate a moment this big. As it turns out, the answer was already brewing."

Indeed. Gallons of the answer were brewing in Miller's brewery.

The announcement continues the Brewers' longstanding relationship with Miller. Miller Lite is the National League Club's official and exclusive beer sponsor. Its ballpark opened as Miller Park in 2001 before American Family Insurance bought the naming rights and renamed it American Family Field in January 2021.
