Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream kept their season alive on Thursday afternoon, taking down Gabby Williams and the Golden State Valkyries 80-69 in Game 6 of the 2026 WNBA Finals. Now, with the series tied up at 3-3, the WNBA Finals will head back to the Bay Area for a winner-take-all Game 7 on Saturday evening.

Through Games 4 and 5 of the WNBA Finals, Reese didn’t look like herself, totaling 15 points in the two losses. But in the Game 6 win over the Valkyries, the former LSU Tigers forward was played more aggressively, tallying a double-double with 15 points on 5-of-18 shooting, 14 rebounds and six assists.

In doing so, Reese has now recorded her fourth double-double of the 2026 WNBA Finals, including her performances in the first three games of the series.

With her fourth double-double, Reese has now recorded the second-most in a single WNBA Finals series. The Dream star passed Phoenix Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas on the all-time list, recording three double-doubles in the 2022 WNBA Finals with the Connecticut Sun, and the 2025 finals with Phoenix.

Only one player in league history has recorded more double-doubles than Reese in a single WNBA Finals. That honor belongs to former WNBA star Sylvia Fowles, who recorded a double-double in all five games of the Minnesota Lynx’s 3-2 series win in the 2017 WNBA Finals.

Following Game 6, the WNBA revealed Reese’s latest milestone on social media.

“ANOTHER DOUBLE-DOUBLE ,” the WNBA wrote on X. “Angel Reese tallies her fourth double-double of the 2026 WNBA Finals (15 PTS, 14 REB) and now has the second-most in a single Finals series in WNBA history.”
