Trey Smack sounded like Shaq at the free-throw line during this week’s game.
The Green Bay Packers kicker Smack missed a PAT in extremely embarrassing fashion during “Thursday Night Football” against the Carolina Panthers. Following a Jordan Love-to-Tucker Kraft touchdown in the first quarter at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc., Smack clanged his extra-point attempt off the upright with a noise so loud that it sounded like the eruption of Krakatoa.
Here is the video of the incredibly grating “doink” by Smack.

The 23-year-old Smack is in his rookie season with the Packers after being selected in the sixth round of this year’s NFL Draft (No. 216 overall). But Smack has certainly not been doing himself any favors in recent weeks.
During Green Bay’s Week 7 loss to the Detroit Lions, Smack missed two field goals, including a humiliating whiff from just 26 yards out. With those misses, Smack brought himself to seven missed kicks (five field goals and two extra points) through the first seven weeks of the season.
Then on Thursday against the Panthers, Smack made it eight with that horrific-sounding “doink.” That might have been even louder than the one that Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott produced in last year’s playoffs.
