Quarterback Daniel Jones remains the subject of trade rumors, with one team suddenly sounding like a plausible landing spot for him if the Indianapolis Colts move him.
With Kyler Murray injured, the Minnesota Vikings are being named as a possible landing spot for Jones. Notably, Jones spent the latter portion of the 2024 season on the team’s practice squad before ultimately signing with the Colts.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport would not rule out the scenario during an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
“Nothing would surprise me in this world, ever. It makes a lot of sense. I just don’t know if anything is actually going to happen,” Rapoport said.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk speculated that the Vikings could target Jones if Carson Wentz does not perform well Monday against the Buffalo Bills.
There Is A Likely Chance Daniel Jones Gets Traded To The Vikings If Carson Wentz Doesn’t Play Well Monday Night. Per, @MikeFlorioPFT “I think if they lose Monday night and Carson Wentz doesn’t play well, there’s a chance Daniel Jones is a Viking again. He never played for the Vikings, but he was on the practice squad for a couple of months in 2024, and they wanted to keep him.”

Jones has played poorly this season, and at times, his job has appeared to be under threat. However, between Murray’s poor play and questions about Wentz, he could still be a fit in Minnesota.
Jones has thrown for 1,542 yards with five touchdowns and nine interceptions on the season.
