By now, you've probably seen the clips. If you haven't, well, you're in for a treat. But even if you have, this new behind-the-scenes look of Sandro Dias' record-breaking drop-in that went down a few weeks back on the Brazilian State Rio Grande do Sul building is absolutely worth a watch.

We get some on-location commentary from Sandro before the initial attempts and get to fully experience the process first-hand courtesy of Red Bull. Everything about this is gnarly, but this deep dive really puts the entire mission into perspective. Take a look:

It's funny because some of those slams don't look that bad on camera, but you know for a fact they were painful. We've all gotten speed wobbles a few times in our lives, but when you're charging at record-breaking speeds, well, that's just hard to imagine. Like, literally. I can't imagine it. But the dude wasn't going to give up, and because of that determination, the rest is history.

Honestly, this entire process just seems wild. You really have to give it up to the crews helping make all of this happen behind the scenes. Moving the ramps looks insane. The logistics must have been draining. Watching Sandro's attempts would make anyone anxious. It's just a lot. But when you're attempting to literally break multiple world records, it comes with the territory.

The two Guinness World Records Sandro broke were:

  • Tallest drop into a temporary quarter pipe.
  • Fastest speed skateboarding on a temporary quarter pipe.

Between some of that drone footage and Sandro's POV angle, some of these clips seriously make you hold your breath for a second. So insane.

Since the day it was built in Porto Alegre, Brazil, the Centro Administrativo Fernando Ferrari (CAFF) has caught the eye of countless skateboarders. Why? Because the thing looks like a giant quarterpipe—that’s why! And over the years, the idea of actually skating it has been more of a joke than a real possibility. But the joke is clearly over!

Congrats again to Sandro and everyone involved in making this happen. Skateboarding is gnarly.
