I feel like everything Kanaan Dern does—literally, every clip and every trick—is as gnarly as it gets. Some of the handrails he grinds are laughable, like, you'd joke about someone skating it. And his fearlessness and all-gas-no-brakes approach is something to admire.
The way he skates feels like a bit of a lost art these days, but the good news is there are still plenty of blank canvases out there for him to continue painting on. Giant, terrifying canvases.
Anyways, all this to say: Fallen recently introduced Kanaan Dern’s first pro model shoe, The Knockout, and it's one of the most well-deserved shoes in the game as far as I'm concerned.
Kanaan is definitely pro and deserves it all. In true Dern fashion, he came through with some mind-melting clips to celebrate the release. Hold on tight and press play:
"Featuring K-shaped side panels and original Florida-inspired artwork, it brings a fresh identity to the line while maintaining the durability and comfort of a true Fallen classic," the brand mentioned. They're just some skate-ready kicks for one of skateboarding's gnarliest, and they're landing at shops and the Fallen webstore now.
If you haven't seen Kanaan's part in Zero's latest video, Heaven's Gate, I give you full permission to tap that post above right now and leave me behind. It's absolutely bonkers and deserves to be revisited over and over and over again. Some of his clips are truly unbelievable and the part is just a proper look at the level some pro skateboarders are on these days.
Look for Kanaan's debut pro model shoe at your local shop, or cop 'em straight from the source on the Fallen site. The dude deserves it all. Congrats, Kanaan! Keep your foot on the gas, duder.
