After Mack's deep dive article and the joyous news that the West LA Courthouse was saved for another few more years, we had to make the short drive up from SD to check out the scene last Saturday. As expected, the place was packed with local LA skaters and a bunch of friends from the Converse team.

Mackenzie Eisenhour set up an incredible historic photo display on the walls around the stage. All the ledges had fresh paint. There were several christening speeches from The Skatepark Project's Alec Beck, to the West LA city council, to Aaron Snyder's brother, and more. After the talking, it was time to cut the ribbon and start the mobbed best trick contests. That's when we made our exit and hit other parts of the city that were less crowded. Hell, it was 75 degrees and sunny—beautiful day in LA. Okay enough words, scroll through the photos. Great to see everyone!
