SNKRS pulled up to the Copenhagen Open party in Athens, Greece last summer and brought back a rad edit for us all to enjoy. Hear the stories straight from the skateboarding community and Nike SB riders alike,  including Dashawn Jordan, Sarah Meurle, Stefan Janoski, Rune Glifberg, Eric Koston, and more.

I've personally never been to Athens, but like countless others, it's always been on my bucket list. The history, the culture, the spots, the community... it really is its own little paradise. And when you get all the greatest skateboarders on the planet over there, well, I can't help but feel a little envious here! What a gem.

It's also real cool witnessing all the different perspectives from last year's CPH Open. From your favorite pros to the locals to skateboarding enthusiasts from across the globe, this event truly is one of a kind.

If you want to see some of the heavy skating that went down in 2024, tap the post above and peep Nike's recap video. Nonstop skating and partying!

While I'm still not totally sure why the 'Copenhagen Open' was in Athens this year, I'm certainly not complaining (and I doubt anyone was either). If you think about it, the location doesn't really matter, you know? What matters is getting everyone together and spreading the stoke.

As they mention in the video, the culture of skateboarding is—and always will be—in the streets. So although there are "contests" going down during the event, the main focus will always be on running wild in the streets. And personally, I absolutely love that.

Hope to make it out there one year! Until then, these videos help scratch the itch. They’re just another reminder of why skateboarding is, quite simply, the best thing in the world.
