Real Skateboards Teases a ‘Special’ Skate Shop Day 2025 Collaboration with Natas Kaupas and Todd Francis

One of my favorite holidays is just around the corner—Skate Shop Day! It’s a day to celebrate all the ripping skate shops across the globe who are often the beating heart of their local skate scenes. It's also a day to remind folks that skate shops do much more than just sell gear; they build communities, educate, and keep the core culture of skateboarding thriving.

Skate Shop Day is also when brands, skateboarders, artists, and enthusiasts come together for unique collaborations and limited-edition drops. Judging by a recent teaser from the squad at Real Skateboards, they’ve got “something special” planned for 2025. Curious? Check it out:

"Skate Shop Day is 1 month away! Mark your calendar for Feb 15th!" Real wrote on Instagram. Adding, "We have some very special stuff in the works for your local shop, stay tuned for more info."

As you see in the post, the names "Natas Kaupas" and "Todd Francis" are front row center! What a duo, right? In fact, those two names are so powerful and influential, Real didn't even really have to do anything besides exactly what they did—tease a quick peak at what appears to be a Kaupas x Francis collaboration.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty stoked on this. And like everyone else, I don't even know what "it" is. But I do know "it" is going to be rad.

All the Gonz gear in 2024 was super sick. Instant collectibles! And you could say the exact same about all the stuff Mike Gigliotti did in 2023. There's no shortage of talented artists and creatives in skateboarding, so it's always exciting to see who's up next. So far, so good!

If you don't follow @skateshopday on Instagram, you should. Some people love Halloween, some love Christmas, but many others... well, we love Skate Shop Day! Best time of the year.
