Friend of TWS, all-around ripping human and San Diego State University professor Dr. Neftalie Williams will be heading to the 2024 Paris Olympics as an "ambassador of skateboarding" for the U.S. State Department, NBC News reports. And personally, we couldn't be more stoked for him.
Neftalie is no stranger to bringing joy and positivity to his students (and any human who crosses paths with him) through skateboarding and teaching, so having him serve as an "ambassador of skateboarding" is pretty much a no-brainer if you ask me. The perfect candidate.
And in case you're wondering—he absolutely rips! (You saw that nose manual nollie heel!) This role certainly isn't his first rodeo, either. Neftalie has been in the game for quite some time, always looking to connect the dots and keep the skateboarding community thriving however he can.
I know he's going to come back from Paris with plenty of success stories and I admire that he's already looking ahead to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. No time to waste! With the first Olympic skate event happening in less than a week, the excitement is real, to say the least. Kill it, Neftalie!
