X Games recently shared a post on Instagram that read: "The Year of Arisa Trew" and they certainly aren't wrong.
We'd be lying if we said Arisa didn't catch our attention along with countless others when she landed her 900 earlier this year, and it seems as if that moment itself helped skyrocket her into the position she's in now.
From all the major skateboarding contests to her performance at the Olympics and beyond, her progression this year has been monumental and it's actually pretty insane to look back at all she accomplished. Take a look:
"My biggest year yet!" Arisa exclaimed on Instagram. "I got to compete in many competitions, travelled so so much (I think I was overseas more then being in Aus) learnt new tricks, landed a 900, switch McTwist, McEgg and some more. I skated a lot, I got to qualify for the Olympics with my best friends, competed at one of my fav events @xgames, then competed at the @olympics, landed my own trick the “Arizzla”, also got my duck! Goldieee. And had so much fun with friends skating as well as more."
Reflecting on who helped her along the way, she tacked on, "This year I reached so many of my goals thanks to @thesuitcase @lvlupaus @trevwardacademy thank you for coaching me and being there for everything this year, as well as my parents for everything they have done for me!"
Aside from all her contest wins, she was literally out there inventing new tricks and conquering bucket list maneuvers. Her year was filled with extensive travel, intense media coverage, and yet, she still found time to session at her local park and spend quality time with her friends and family. And, of course, she has her little duck to care for now all the same! Impressive? Mhmm.
Congrats to Arisa on all she accomplished this year. You know what the craziest part of it all is? She's just getting started.
