Two new executives have joined the upper echelons of Alterra Mountain Company, the multi-ski-resort conglomerate that sells the Ikon Pass.

Diane Neville has been appointed as chief people officer (CPO), and Will Forbes as the president & chief operating officer (COO) of Alterra Mountain Company's Experiences Division.

"We are very excited to add these talented leaders to crucial roles within our growing company," said Jared Smith, Alterra Mountain Company's president and CEO, noting that Forbes and Neville's work will directly impact employees and guests.

Each has decades of experience in their respective areas of expertise.

Neville previously served in human resources roles across the food and beverage industry, including as the CPO for Shake Shack Express.

At Shake Shack, according to a press release shared by Alterra Mountain Company, she built employee infrastructure and developed policies and practices to support the businesses' growth across its hundreds of global locations.

Before Shake Shack, Neville worked for P.F. Chang's China Bistro, McKesson Corporation, Fender Musical Instruments, and AON Corporation.

"I'm thrilled to join the team at Alterra Mountain Company and contribute to their ongoing efforts to provide the best employee experience in the industry," said Neville.

Forbes is set to oversee Alterra Mountain Company's two heliskiing properties in British Columbia, Canada—CMH Heliskiing & Summer Adventures and Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing (MWHS).

These outfits compose the Company's adventure hospitality portfolio, which, according to the press release, Forbes will be responsible for growing and improving.

"I very much look forward to working with this team of passionate professionals to continue to offer the best guest experiences possible while building on the legacy of the operations to expand and evolve Alterra's position in the adventure travel space," said Forbes, a lifelong snowboarder whose previous employers include luxury travel brands like the Four Seasons and Kensington Tours.

Forbes' arrival comes after previous efforts to expand Alterra Mountain Company's heliskiing offerings.

Most recently, the Company acquired MWHS in April 2024. Three years earlier, it purchased Purcell Heliskiing, folding the outfit's operations into CMH Heliskiing & Summer Adventures, which spans 11 destinations and is the largest heliskiing brand in the world.
