Is this the worst winter ever? For some skiers in Oregon, it just might be.
POWDER reported earlier this week that two Oregon ski areas, Mt. Hood Ski Bowl and Mt. Ashland, had made the tough decision to close operations due to a dwindling snowpack and unseasonably warm temperatures.
Today, February 5, POWDER has learned that Hoodoo Ski Area, located in Sisters, Oregon, has also paused operations due to poor snow conditions.
A message on Hoodoo's site begins, "Hoodoo Ski Area will be suspending operations immediately until it snows again. We have surveyed the terrain many times over the last few days and, sadly, have to make the call to close until Mother Nature blesses us with more snow."
A quick glance at Hoodoo's various webcams shows that the ski area's snowpack is hurting. Thankfully, a season-saving storm may be on the way next week. Check out the webcam images below. Keep reading for more.

Hoodoo skiers and riders won't be able to ride in the immediate future, but the ski area is hopeful that February will bring colder, snowier temperatures.
The message on Hoodoo's site says: "We will open as soon as possible and are very optimistic about the change in the forecast next week, bringing cold temps and (crossed fingers) lots of snow."
Hoodoo didn't open for the season until Thursday, January 8, due to warm temperatures and little snowfall throughout December.
According to OpenSnow, a popular forecasting app amongst skiers, Hoodoo could receive more than 15 inches of snow over the next week. Temperatures are expected to be cold, which could allow for snowmaking at ski areas across the state.
Mt. Hood Ski Bowl and Mt. Ashland, the other two Oregon ski areas that are temporarily closed, should also benefit from the storm. They're forecasted to receive 14 inches and five inches, respectively.
Oregonians—do a snow dance and make a humble sacrifice to the snow gods this week. Winter is only halfway through, but time is ticking on saving the season.
