One of skiing's most magnificent icons celebrated her birthday this week with a cat skiing trip.

That's right, Chelsea Handler, the comedian, actress, and queen of epic birthday shreds, turned 50 on February 25th.

In true fashion, Handler celebrated by posting a video of herself and a crew of ladies shredding pow in bikinis. The video also announces the release of Handler's new book, I'll Have What She's Having, which is featured at the end of the clip along with Handler lighting what appears to be a joint. Classic.

An avid skier, Handler enjoyed her birthday pow turns at Soldier Mountain in Idaho's Sawtooth range.

Given the proximity to Sun Valley, it's no surprise that Handler was also rocking a couple of notable Sun Valley brands in the video, including Smith Optics (which is now based in Portland, Oregon, but started in SV), Reflex ski poles, and a Wild Rye beanie.

Handler also recently posted a photo on a jet wearing head-to-toe Wild Rye and is clearly a fan of the women's ski and bike apparel brand, given the brand's founder, Cassie Abel, is one of the women skiing alongside Handler in the video.

The comedian has been known in the past for her outlandish birthday skiing videos, which sometimes feature her topless and, more often than not, with a cocktail and a smokeable in her hand. Handler's slightly more modest outfit in this year's video may be due in part to her nephews' request that she stop skiing topless.

While they're maybe a little less wild than they used to be, I'm still a huge fan of Handler's birthday ski videos. As someone who's enjoyed my fair share of birthday BN's, I can attest that it's by far one of the best ways to celebrate, even if it's a little chilly!

Happy 50th Chelsea!
