It is 45 degrees F at Granite Peak Ski Area in Wisconsin today. Despite that, the resort is 100% open.

Today's SnowReport reads, "Good Thursday Morning! Another stunning day here in Wisconsin with bluebird skies, soft snow and still rocking 100% of the slopes."

Specifically, 60/60 trails are open, 5/5 terrain parks are open, 5/7 lifts are spinning, and 155 acres are open at this time.

Granite Peak was established (for skiing purposes) in 1937, making it one of the first ski areas in North America. Their gusto has carried them through almost a whole decade of resort operations, through thick and thin snowpack, and through cold and warm temps, like today.

Their social post reports that "Aspen Terrain Park is back open after a rebuild last night."

The terrain parks at Granite Peak Ski Area are nothing to scoff at. This one, below, was built before the team moved on to groom Aspen.

The resort attributed their social media image to Kevin Graham, writing "thanks to the sweet shot from Kevin Graham on approach to the Downtown Wausau Airport yesterday."

"She's awfully pretty and still all white! Hope to see you out here!"
