Eileen Gu has become one of the most decorated freestyle skiers in Winter Olympics history, and added to her resume at the Milan Cortina 2026. Entering Milan, the Chinese-American skier had already added three Olympic medals to her tally, winning two gold and one silver at the 2022 Beijing Games.

But Gu was not done there, doubling her Olympic medal count in Milan. In her first two events, the women’s big air and slopestyle, she was unable to secure another gold, earning silver in both competitions. However, on the final day of the 2026 Winter Games, Gu competed in the halfpipe and once again claimed gold, posting the top score of 94.75 to edge out her Chinese teammate Li Fanghui.

Throughout her skiing career, Gu has remained busy off the slopes. She has become a model and ambassador for the high-end fashion brand Louis Vuitton. Through that collaboration, along with several others, Gu has appeared on the covers of various magazines and walked the runway at major fashion shows. She is also a founding member of Victoria's Secret’s VS Collective.

Gu has also been known to attend some of the biggest fashion events in the world, including Paris Fashion Week in March 2023 and Milan Fashion Week a few months later, where she made her runway debut, opening and closing the show.

And following her second Winter Olympics, Gu revealed that she will remain in Milan from February 24 to March 2, planning to work her "other job" at the 2026 Milan Fashion Week.

"It's fashion week in Milan," Gu said. "I have the other job, the other fashion thing... I'm really excited to just explore some other avenues, be creative, and explore my femininity through fashion, which is something I've always loved, and to kind of put that in juxtaposition with skiing and with sports... And I think they co-exist so beautifully, and so I hope to represent that next week in Milan."

While Gu works the 2026 Milan Fashion Week, the world will await her decision on whether to compete at the 2030 Winter Olympics in the French Alps or to call it quits with six medals to her name.
