We're halfway through this current season, but Colorado's Ellis Skis is already looking forward. This week, they are launching pre-sale for their 2026/27 product, including updates to their POWDER Editor's Pick-winning Meraki 112 freeride ski. These guys are used to thinking outside the box, not just with their ski design, but also with how they are getting skis on your feet. In a world of huge ski companies dominating the market, Ellis's grassroots effort stands out, but with product this good, we're definitely rooting for the underdog. Learn more about the story behind the new brand here.
Pre-order reservations are available from now until March 10, 2026 at elliskis.com, don't hesitate to check out their latest skis. This year, the brand is dropping full size runs on their three models: the Sabr 100, Meraki 112, and the new Kanso 106.
The Meraki 112 proved to be one of our favorite powder/freeride skis of the year, combining a fun and playful twin-rocker shape with a stout and very powerful core. It's a ski squarely aimed at advanced to expert skiers looking for a resort and backcountry freeride weapon. The Kanso 106 and Sabr 100 fill a more all-mountain niche, but share a similar shape and construction tweaked to perform better in hardpack and variable-snow conditions.
Ellis Skis are all handmade in the USA.
