Let’s play a game. Imagine, through some stroke of luck, $18,000,000 magically appeared in your bank account. Where would you spend the money? A medium-sized yacht? A multi-lifetime supply of ski boots? What about a hulking, slopeside mansion in Park City, Utah?
The latter is now on the market. Located in The Colony at White Pine Canyon, an exclusive ski-in/ski-out community, The Pinecone Ridge Retreat provides a glimpse at how the upper crust goes about their ski vacations.

The 9,778-square-foot home has a listing price of $18,250,000. It features direct ski access to a private trail, six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, heated decks, and a chef’s kitchen with professional-grade appliances. Park City Mountain, meanwhile, is the largest ski resort in the U.S. and famed for its groomed terrain.
The for-sale home is big enough to host a huge ski crew, with two oversized bunk rooms, a fitness room, and a ski locker room with a fireplace. According to The Pinecone Ridge Retreat listing, its lower area rivals “any private club”—the full wet bar, billiards lounge, sauna, spa bath, and sunken hot tub see to that. We can only imagine the soirées.
The Colony at White Pine Canyon community, which has an average home listing price of $15,420,882, unsurprisingly draws a moneyed crowd. According to the website of a local realtor, “celebrities, professional athletes, and executives” call the gated neighborhood home.
While $18,250,000 is nothing to sneeze at, far more expensive properties are currently available in the Colony. The most expensive of which fetches $29,900,000 and looks more like a fortress than a home, featuring six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a heated swimming pool, and multiple hot tubs.
The ski real estate market can climb even higher. According to Zillow, one Jackson, Wyoming, property is listed for $47,000,000. Another—this time in Aspen, Colorado—runs $79,000,000.
