Jackson Hole Surpasses 400 Inches Of Snowfall For Season

JHMR had a slow, bony start to the season. I visited the resort in mid-December, and much of the lower mountain was coated in underbrush. The famous Aerial Tram wasn't open for skiing and riding. Later on, the resort had to cancel its famed Kings & Queens of Corbet's event, citing low snow coverage.

Then, as we now know, February and March arrived, completely changing JHMR's fortunes.

In February, JHMR saw 130 inches of snow in Rendezvous Bowl, an upper mountain zone accessible by the Aerial Tram. 

Currently, Rendezvous Bowl has seen 404 inches of snow, while the mid-mountain has seen 286 inches of snow. Not bad for a season that got off to a rough start.

It seems spring is now headed to JHMR, with temperatures well above freezing predicted for the weekend. Had the resort not seen miraculous snowfall in February, this might have been cause for concern, but with all the fresh powder, I doubt anyone would mind some slushy laps under the sun.
