Legendary ski racer Lindsey Vonn appears to be living her best life. With the 2025 World Cup Finals in the rearview mirror, she's enjoying a well-deserved vacation.
Vonn, 40, announced her return to competitive skiing in 2024. Any doubts about her comeback attempt were erased this past March when she finished second in the Super-G at the World Cup Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho.
Even though Vonn went on vacation after her second-place finish in Idaho, she didn't exactly take a break from physically-demanding activities. On Monday, she shared a video of her wake surfing with dolphins.
Vonn shared multiple videos of this incredible experience on Instagram this week.
"Wake-surfing with DOLPHINS OMG," Vonn wrote. "HUGE bucket list item checked off the list today. I’ve seen stuff like this on instagram before but never thought it would happen to me! Not your typical Monday!"
Vonn's latest post on Instagram received a plethora of kind comments from her followers. That's not a huge surprise considering it was a breathtaking video.
"You have done a lot of amazing things in your life but this is EPIC, magical and beyond special!!!! So awesome," one person said.
"That is so magical. What an amazing experience," another person wrote. "So awesome to experience dolphins in the wild. When they are in the surf with you it takes your breath away. That was once in a lifetime."
"This is amazing," CBS golf reporter Amanda Balionis commented.
Vonn has gone surfing in Miami in the past, so shredding waves is nothing new to her. However, it's not often that she gets to share this experience with dolphins.
"Still can’t believe it," she commented on a follow-up post. "What a dream!"
Vonn, a three-time Olympic medalist, plans on competing at the 2026 Winter Games.
