Oregon Ski Resort Closes Beginner Chairlift For Season

"Unfortunately, the issue cannot be fixed quickly," Timberline wrote on Instagram this weekend. "Repairs will be made this summer and it will be ready to run in the fall."

The comments section of Timberline's Bruno's social media announcement has been turned off, suggesting that the community response to the lift closure was a little, well, surly.  

However, Timberline noted that "there is almost no impact to available terrain" and shared news of an incoming storm.

NOAA calls for a foot or more of snow at the Oregon resort through Tuesday night before a period of springy conditions kicks in later in the week.

Speaking of spring conditions, Timberline's spring pass is now available for $199. The unique pass offering—which has developed a cult-like following, particularly among freestyle skiers—provides resort access through May 27th. Its price increases to $269 after May 6th.
