It's shaping up to be a snowy week at Jackson Hole, WY.

Officials at the iconic resort announced that at 6am yesterday, there was "10" of new snow with 9 inches since lifts closed. Tetons in a Winter Storm Warning until 11AM Fri."

Today's mountain report announced that "the powder party continues in Teton Village with another 10" of new snow with 9" piling in since lifts closed."

"Strong, gusty winds will be trending out of the West at 23-27 MPH with gusts reaching above 40 MPH. Temperatures will reach the low 20's across the alpine terrain while the base area will hit the low 30's by early afternoon."

"Hold nothing back today as conditions will be DEEP everywhere you go. It's a good day to ski BIG and hit some lines you've been waiting for all season. Nothing beats a Thursday POW day!!"

Hardcore skiers know the feeling of waiting all season to hit a specific line: waiting for the conditions to align, the snow to fill in just enough for a probably-soft-landing but not so much to cover the line altogether.

Jackson Hole has 279 inches at the summit, 195 on the mid-mountain, and more snow on the way in the next couple of days.

Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday are all showing potential to be powder days, or at least to provide refills on the current fresh cover.

"Just two days ago, officials at Jackson Hole posted that they got 16 inches of "fresh cold smoke powder in the last 24 hours and it went blue!"

It looks like that additional 2 feet is coming true after all.

Resort officials share the stoke, ending their celebration with "the powder party continues in Jackson Hole! Come and get it!!"
