Raccoon Caught Riding Chairlift At Vermont Ski Area

Yep. That's a raccoon.

Of all the wild animals you'd expect to see on a chairlift, raccoons might make the most sense—or at the very least, more sense than something less climbing inclined, like a moose. 

The lift operations took care of their new furry friend, ensuring that it "unloaded the lift safely," Sugarbush wrote. 

One commenter below the post asked, "Did he have a lift ticket?" This is an important question, but I'm not sure that the raccoon market for ski resorts is quite large enough yet. It's best to give it a few years and continue offering complimentary rides. 

Who knows, though? Selling Ikon Passes to wildlife could be a major money-maker if Sugarbush plays its cards right. Let's just hope used car salesmen don't catch wind of the burgeoning wildlife market—the last thing we need is a crowd of 15 raccoons hopped up on Red Bull driving an SUV to the hill. That's a disaster waiting to happen.
