Last year, our testers were head over heels with the powerful performance of Rossignol's Sender Free 110 and 118 skis. Built to tackle the faces of Alaska and top Freeride World Tour podiums, these hard-charging skis felt both powerful and playful, making them really fun in soft snow conditions. However, due to their immense size, most testers found their sticking point was hard-snow performance.

This year, Rossignol is introducing a narrower version of the Sender Free, with a 100mm waist, designed to take that same performance to terrain and conditions you'll find most days in the resort.

Rossignol says: "Building on the legacy of the Sender Free 110, a sought after model by hard-charging freeskiers, the new 100 is an athlete-drive full-sidewall ski that combines the playful response of a rockered powder ski with the confident grip of an all-mountain board."

Construction and shape look to be very similar to the 110 and 118 models, with twin rocker and progressive sidecut to encouraging slashy, loose and playful skiing on both hardpack and in softer snow. Inside, the Poplar wood core and lightweight AirTip are meant to increase pop and energy, with full-length vertical sidewalls for really strong edge grip. Oh yeah, and it's purple.

Sender Free 100 Specs:

  • Lengths available: 162cm, 170cm, 178cm, 184cm, 190cm
  • Sidecut: 131 mm - 100mm - 123mm
  • Radius: 20m (@184cm)
  • Profile: Twin Rocker
  • Weight: 2000g (@184cm)
