Ski Resort Helicopter Accidentally Drops Metal Object On Active Slope

Galle, in the comments section of the video, explained what happened.

"I was like ohh a helicopter I want a video because I love anything that is flying," he wrote. "So I took out my phone and started to record." 

Galle then spotted a "shiny thing" falling from the helicopter. This object hit the snow and started sliding down a ski slope. He shouted at nearby people to "look out" as the object cruised past skiers.

Thankfully, no one was hurt, and Galle noted that the "situation was resolved immediately." 

It isn't clear what the object was, although Galle speculated that it might have been a gas cylinder used to power avalanche mitigation devices like Gazex.  

Galle also shared a photo showing where the object impacted the snow.

File this one into the "close calls" category. Of all the ways a ski day can be ruined, getting bonked by a flying hunk of metal is low on my list.
