More lift accessed downhill mountain biking is coming to Southern California this June.
SoCal resort Mountain High West, which is just an hour and a half from LA, is opening their brand new bike park on June 14th, 2025. The bike park's grand opening celebration will feature demos, vendors, microbrew specials, and a great day of DH riding on Mountain High West's brand new trails.
Construction of the bike park's trails is taking place in three phases. The first phase is currently underway and will be completed for the park's opening. It includes the building of eight downhill trails for a total of eight miles of riding.
The new trails will have a variety of difficulties, with some being beginner, some intermediate, and one expert trail. There will also be a skills park with small jumps, wooden berms, and wooden step-down drops for guests to brush up on their mountain bike skills. Mountain High West's Blue Ridge Express chair will service the bike park's phase 1 trails.
