Rumor has it spring is one of the best times of year for park laps at Palisades Tahoe, California. With only a couple weeks left in the season, some of the area's best freeskiers took advantage of soft spring conditions in the park over the weekend.

Tahoe area local, 17-year-old Zeb Schreiber, spent the weekend in the park taking advantage of some of the last few lift-accessed days of the season and landed his first-ever double cork 1080. Schreiber is the youngest member of the Blizzard-Tecnica athlete team and one of the most stylish up and coming freeriders around

"I was inspired to try a dub 10 after Cass Jones landed one in the park the week prior. It’s been a goal of mine this season. Everything lined up perfectly and I went for it. I landed it first try. It’s such a great feeling riding out of a trick you have been thinking about for so long," said Schreiber of landing the trick.

In the video, which was taken by Jones, you can see a group of skiers running to hug Schreiber in celebration of the work he's obviously put into landing it. Amongst those skiers is another famous member of the Jones family, professional skier Kai Jones

Kai also clearly had a good weekend of park laps with Schreiber and Cass, based on the clips he posted. After a long spring of filming and competing in Alaska, he's certainly earned the chance to 'kick his feet up,' so to speak.

Palisades Tahoe is open daily through Memorial Day and has park laps, an excellent wiggle, and any other spring skiing you could want.
