Fifty-six riders have been named as nominees for the 2025-2026 U.S. Snowboard team. The names of the usual suspects are atop the list.
Chloe Kim and Maddie Mastro have been named to the women’s pro halfpipe team, while Chase Josey, a two-time Olympian, has been named again to the men’s team. Sonora Alba, Bea Kim, Maddy Schaffrick, Chase Blackwell, Lucas Foster, Levko Fedorowycz, and Allessandro Barbieri are also nominees for the halfpipe pro team.
There are three newcomers to the pro slopestyle team. Ollie Martin, 17, has been promoted along with 15-year-old Lily Dhawornvej and Hahna Norman. Red Gerard, Sean FitzSimons, Jake Canter, Chris Corning, and Dusty Henricksen have all returned to the pro team, as has Luke Winklemann, who has battled a knee injury for the past year.
On the women’s pro side, Julia Marino, Hailey Langland, Rebecca Flynn, and Jamie Anderson are all back. The women’s rookie team features three newcomers: Giada Brienza, Gabriella Boday, and Jess Perlmutter, who won three major rail jam contests this past winter (Heavy Metal Boston, The Bomb Hole Cup, and The Uninvited). Fynn Bullock, Brooklyn DePriest, Liam Johnson, and Evan Wrobel are back on the men’s rookie team.
The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team announces its teams in two phases: nomination and acceptance. Riders are formally nominated to the team in May. So long as they accept the nomination and adhere to the team expectations outlined in the team criteria, riders will be officially added to the team in September 2025.
Members of the rookie team must be between the ages of 13 and 20 years old, while members of the pro team must be at least 15 years old. Athletes cannot be promoted from the rookie team to the pro team during the season.
As Snowboard Magazine’s Mark Clavin points out, just six of the 38 riders on the pipe and slope teams were born before the year 2000.
There are three newcomers to the snowboard cross team. Truckee, California’s Hanna Percy will join the team for the first time ever. Pittsburgh native Theodore Mclemore has been elevated from the development team along with Bethel, Maine’s Nathan Pare. Jake Vedder, Cody Winters, Nick Baumgartner, Tyler Hamel, Acy Craig, Stacy Gaskill, Faye Gulini, Meghan Tierny Daniel, Bri Schnorrbusch, and Lindsey Jacobellis are all back.
