Another year, another Goon Jam Tour.
Goon Gear, the snowboard brand from Vermont legend Lucas Magoon and his wife Tonya, is going on tour yet again. The tour is focused on being a gathering place for the snowboard community from one stop to another. No judging, just riding with friends. And the lineup has been release for the 2025-2026 tour.
“The tour at its core has remained exactly the same,” Tonya said in an interview with Snowboarder last year. “The goal is to get the communities from each area together for a day of just snowboarding with friends. No judging. The top three people that stood out for the whole day win a ton of amazing prizes from our sponsors. It did evolve in size, growing from five stops to nine.”
Event sponsors include Slush Magazine, East Street Archives, Bummfuccs, Attic Skateshop, Dang Shades, Sims Snowboards, Alpine Bandit, Salmon Arms, BSRabbit, Union Bindings, Stinky Socks, Baker Street Snow, Wild Mikes, Dank Donuts, CBDayz, and Joey’s Footbeds.
The tour has always been important to the Magoon family, particularly because of its ability to instill a sense of community, and give back to snowboarding. This year, the tour holds some extra meaning, as Goon Gear was unable to produce snowboards due to an increase in production costs that have accompanied tariffs. Goon Gear is hardly alone in that problem, as big brands such as Black Diamond and Burton faced troubles with that as well.
“If you want brands like ours to survive—support small. Skip the corporate machine. Show up for local businesses. Beyond snowboarding, just in life in general. Go to your local farmers market , go to the mom and pop deli in your town, get a coffee from the local shop, just anything to keep small businesses rolling! Its really that simple.,” the brand said in an Instagram post back in May. “Running Goon Gear has never been about money—it’s about passion for snowboarding and this community. We’ve put so much into this over the years, from boards to events, and we’ll keep building— come to Goon Fest. Come to our winter events . Purchase some gear when we drop it . Buy a gift card on the site. Share our posts. Just support.”
