The pro team of riders at Rome Snowboards is small, but mighty. It just got a little bit bigger and a whole lot mightier.

Lauren "Lolo" Derminio has joined the squad.

“A beast of a hard charger with a full-send attitude, Lolo is a clear no brainer addition,” Rome said in the Instagram post announcing the news. “Welcome Lolo.”

Derminio is originally from Arizona, an unlikely birthplace for a pro snowboarder. She won The Uninvited contest in 2023, and followed that up with a win at the DIYX Street Jam in Innsbruck, Austria. She rode alongside Dusty and Dillon Henricksen and Denver Orr in the 2023 film “Buster” produced by Monster Energy. A year later, she rode alongside Henna Ikola and Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir in the all-women film Horsepower. Both films featured heavy, heavy riding.

Rome’s riders may have had the best season out of any board brand. The company’s longest tenured pro Ståle Sandbech won the Natural Selection Tour in March. Rene Rinnekangas put out the film Heaven, which has widely been regarded as the best video part of the season. Maggie Leon found herself on the podium at Red Bull Heavy Metal, and Madison Blackley made it to the quarterfinals in her first ever Natural Selection Tour appearance, where she lost to the eventual champion.
