Two-year video projects are all the rage these days, and some members of the Burton crew decided they wanted in on the fun.

'PAVED', features Anna Gasser, Ben Ferguson, Brock Crouch, Danny Davis, Mark McMorris, Mikkel Bang, Ylfa Rúnarsdóttir, Zeb Powell, Zoi Sadowski-Synnott, and Takeru Otskuka It was filmed across Alaska, Hokkaido, Japan, British Columbia, and the Lake Tahoe-region. Dubbed Paved, it is a co-production between Burton and Red Bull Media House.

“PAVED blends backcountry riding with the human side of standing sideways,” Burton said on its Instagram page.

The film will be accompanied by a photo book that is comprised of two years of images that were customized by the riders themselves.

PAVED will be showcased during world premieres in both New York City and Tokyo, Japan. Here’s the complete list of locations:

  • Sapporo, Japan
  • Osaka, Japan
  • Canberra, Australia
  • Beijing, China
  • Shanghai, China
  • Sydney, Australia
  • Milan, Italy
  • Zurich, Switzerland
  • Innsbruck, Austria
  • Denver, USA
  • Melbourne, Australia
  • Vancouver, BC
  • Queenstown, New Zealand

The film will be available to watch on Red Bull TV on November 7, 2025. It will largely feature backcountry riding, and a few photos and phone-clips have emerged as the film’s tour has been announced. Other than that, the parties involved have been pretty hush-hush about the whole thing.

The 2024-2025 season saw two shorter film projects released from Burton. The Sun Came Out featured a ton of heavy hitters, including McMorris, Bang, Kimmy Fasani, Brolin Mawejje, and Sadowski-Synnott. The filming took place in the backcountry of British Columbia, Alaska, California, and Wyoming.

Four If By Sea brought the Burton Analog crew - Luke Winkelmann, Niels Schack, Grace Warner, and Rob Roethler – to the streets of Halifax, Nova Scotia. The small but mighty crew hit one of the last ports before the Arctic Circle at the tail end of a storm cycle. It’s just five minutes long, but was one of the most fun and wholesome edits of the season.

Two-year projects stood out the most from the rest of the video drops last season. Widely considered the video of the year, Rene Rinnekangas’ Heaven, published by Monster Energy on its YouTube page, was filmed over the course of three seasons while Rinnekangas overcame injuries and battled a heavy competition schedule. Sinister Films released Pickpocket, which also featured riding from Sam Anderson that was filmed over the course of two seasons.
