In 99 days, Dusty Henricksen will most likely be in Italy, where he will compete for Team USA in the slopestyle portion of the Olympics.
He’ll do so strapped into his first pro model snowboard.
Salomon Snowboards has released a limited edition version of the Salomon Huck Knife Pro in Henricksen’s honor. The graphic features red caution tape on the base and topsheet, and sketches of some of the rider’s tattoos on the base.
The board retails for $700, and is offered in 153, 156, and 159 cm lengths. It’s a freestyle twin that features an aggressive quad camber profile and is reinforced with Ghost Carbon Beams, Royal Rubber Rails, and a sintered base.
Salomon celebrated the release of the board with an edit titled “Dusty N’ Friends.” Henricksen, Riley Nickerson, and Judd Henkes take on the park at Mammoth Mountain for a spring park session.
The video was shot and directed by Colden Rand. You can watch it below.
Henricksen appeared in the 2024 film Buster alongside his brother Dillon, Denver Orr, and Lolo Derminio. He was also in the Teton Gravity Research film “Flying High Again.”
The contest scene has been kind to Dusty, though. He’s been on the U.S. team since 2019, when he first podiumed at the Toyota U.S. Grand Prix in Mammoth. He won a slopestyle gold medal at the 2020 Youth Olympic Games, and won the gold in both slopestyle and knuckle huck in his X Games debut in 2021.
Since then, he’s taken home three bronze medals from Aspen.
Henricksen won the FIS Crystal Globe for slopestyle in 2023. He’s the first rider to land a quadruple cork in a slopestyle contest.
He doesn’t just spin to win, though. Henricksen can be downright narcoleptic on the slopes, often moving in slow motion with the most stylish of trick selection.
He’s competed in just one Olympic Games, back in 2022, and hopes to improve upon his 17th-place finish in slopestyle and 21st-place finish in big air.
