Ellie Weiler: Welcome to the ThirtyTwo bindings team.

Some heavy hitters have already signed on to ride the brand’s first-ever snowboard binding, including Scott Stevens, Pat Fava, Chris Bradshaw, and Joe Sexton. You can now add 23-year-old Weiler to that list.

Out of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Weiler made her X Games debut in 2024 when she placed in fifth place in the inaugural women’s Knuckle Huck contest.

Weiler began competing at the age of 10, and won the award for Best Style at the last Research and Development contest. She also ripped off standout performances at The Uninvited Invitational and Slush Magazine’s World Quarters.

“I’ve been riding for ThirtyTwo almost 5 years, and I’m so excited to be welcomed to the FASE T32M,” Weiler said. “The binding are so responsive and quick to get in and out. Very grateful and stoked to grow and push the progression of snowboarding with some of the best!”

In 2024, Weiler spoke with former Snowboarder writer Ally Watson. She took a break from the FIS scene, and worked on recovering from the second ACL tear of her career. That didn’t stop her from gracing the X Games with her presence, and competing in not just the Knuckle Huck, but Street Style as well.

“It was great. I kind of would like to go back and do it again since it was my first really big thing after coming back from the injury. I think I had all the tricks, I just didn’t land them. The whole experience was so amazing,” she told Watson. “ I found out it was happening and I called [GNU women’s team manager] Barrett Christy on the phone and she didn’t pick up but I got her voicemail and I was like, “Barrett, I heard women’s knuckle huck is happening. How do I get into this? I want to do this.” So it was surreal to get the invite and to compete at the X Games because that, in my mind, is what every kid snowboarder dreams of.”

Weiler will be rocking the ThirtyTwo T32M FASE binding. A new invention from the brains over at Nidecker, FASE bindings feature a highback that pulls back, allowing for the rear entry of a binding, mimicking how the majority of people put on regular shoes. A lever will lock the highback into place, and a rider will be able to customize their ankle strap appropriately.

The T32M FASE binding is available for sale on ThirtyTwo’s website. Fava, Stevens, and Bradshaw all have pro models.
