NWSL Attendance: Week in Review

Once again, the NWSL had three Wednesday night games for this week. Only one of the three saw a respectable crowd (10,289 at San Diego). The remaining weekend games drew well outside of Chicago’s Saturday night game (3,104). The NWSL saw a week of over 100,000 for the ten games in total played for the first time this season. Half of the games for this week drew over 10,000. Overall, the league’s average is just barely over their 2023 final average (+47).

San Diego and Portland are now below their 2023 final average. Additionally, Seattle remains with the largest decrease from 2023. Compared to last week, Orlando is now above their 2023 average (+120). The Chicago Red Stars remain way down in the bottom with just an average of 3,862. The largest increase from last season remains Racing Louisville FC (+1,633).

Capacity numbers are provided by each team’s individual stadium’s website. Also reported are each team’s individual high and low games for the season. Finally, all attendance numbers are provided through the ESPN box scores and @NwslNotes on Twitter.
