€24m Nottingham Forest star to bolster Manchester United attack

Manchester United want Nottingham Forest star Callum Hudson-Odoi to bolster their attacking department during the summer window under Ruben Amorim. The 24-year-old played a crucial role for the Tricky Trees, despite their late drop in form in the Premier League.

Nottingham persistently challenged for the Champions League position but suffered two losses and two draws in the last five games. However, they could still qualify for the Champions League or the Europa League by finishing in fifth or sixth, respectively.

Meanwhile, United have endured a disastrous season as they are currently 16^th in the Premier League with 16 embarrassing losses. The Red Devils could still qualify for next season’s Champions League competition by winning the Europa League competition this season.

According to Sky Sports (via ESPN), United want Hudson-Odoi from Nottingham to bolster their attack under Amorim during the summer. The 24-year-old has made 34 appearances in all competitions for Nottingham this season, contributing five goals and providing three assists.

The England international has the versatility to play on both flanks, preferred mostly at the left-wing position during this season. Hudson-Odoi enjoys taking opposition fullbacks with dribbling and a quick burst of acceleration, exploiting the opposition channel with his skills.

The 24-year-old backs his dribbling ability with strong vision, passing and creativity on the ball, despite Nottingham’s lack of possession. Furthermore, Hudson-Odoi works hard for his teammates, tracking back to help the fullbacks, showing immense stamina to cover his flank.

United let the likes of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho go out on loan as they failed to impress. The situation has forced the club to use limited options that their squad currently possesses.

Meanwhile, Alejandro Garnacho has struggled with inconsistency, while Amad Diallo lacks enough experience and has faced fitness issues. United have to strengthen their flanks as part of the squad overhaul during the summer, and Hudson-Odoi suits their profile. According to Transfermarkt, the 24-year-old is valued at €24m, which is a bargain price for a Premier League-proven player, just entering his prime.
