Tottenham are not prepared to lose the summer signing anytime soon.

Tottenham stunned the footballing world when they secured the signing of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United last summer. The Ghana international arrived at N17 on a long-term deal, looking to take the next step in his career and compete for major honours. He was determined to complete the move to Hotspur Way and even pushed for an exit from the London Stadium to ensure the transfer was finalised before the window closed.

It initially appeared that the North Londoners had acquired a top-quality player capable of operating on either flank for the foreseeable future. The 25-year-old quickly displaced Brennan Johnson in the starting eleven on the right wing, offering a different attacking dimension from wide areas. Kudus made an immediate impact, registering two assists against Burnley on the opening day of the Premier League season.

He was among the standout performers for the Lilywhites during the first half of the campaign under Thomas Frank, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 26 appearances across all competitions. The 25-year-old consistently posed a threat from wide areas and linked up effectively with his teammates in the final third. His impressive display against Leeds United earlier in the season further underlined his importance to the North Londoners in their battle for survival.

Mohammed Kudus faces an uncertain future at Tottenham

Tottenham are currently fighting to preserve their Premier League status. The Lilywhites sit in 18th place, two points adrift of safety, and have yet to register a league win since the turn of the year. Injuries have also played a significant role in their struggles, with several key players sidelined during crucial phases of the campaign for the second consecutive season. As a result, the North Londoners have found it difficult to field a consistent and competitive starting eleven during the business end of the season.

Spurs fans were encouraged by the return of Mohammed Kudus last weekend after the attacker recovered from a long-term injury sustained in January. However, it was subsequently reported that the Ghanaian suffered another setback after returning to first-team training, ruling him out for the remainder of the season as he undergoes further rehabilitation.

To compound matters, the Spurs faithful have now been dealt another concerning update regarding the 25-year-old. As per Ekrem Konur (via X), Kudus is attracting interest from both Manchester United and Chelsea ahead of the upcoming transfer window. His future at N17 remains uncertain, particularly with the Lilywhites battling to avoid relegation this season. The North Londoners reportedly value him at around €55m and could be forced to consider offers if suitable bids are received.

The club’s immediate priority remains securing survival. Failure to do so could result in the departure of several key players, including Mohammed Kudus. The hope is that Spurs can rediscover their form under Roberto de Zerbi in the coming weeks and retain their top-flight status. That would place them in a stronger position to negotiate and potentially retain Kudus beyond the current campaign.

Will Mohammed Kudus still be wearing the Lilywhite jersey next season, or will the Ghana international move on if the right opportunity presents itself in the summer? Only time will tell.
