Thomas Frank has led Tottenham to two wins out of two in the new Premier League season

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has managed to endure a positive start to his tenure at N17. A lot of eyebrows were raised when the Danish tactician was appointed as Ange Postecoglou’s successor following the Europa League triumph. But as it stands, the ex-Brentford boss has quickly adapted to the surroundings in North London and managed to make the Lilywhites an enjoyable team to watch.

The newly appointed Spurs manager has indicated since the start that he wants his team to become ‘serial winners’ during his time at N17. It is easier said than done and Thomas Frank will really need to dig deep to win a major trophy during his first year in charge of the Lilywhites. There is also a fan outrage that Daniel Levy is setting up the Dane to fail after not backing him in the transfer market.

However, amidst all the drama surrounding Spurs off the pitch, the Lilywhites have actually done quite well to register two wins from two in the Premier League. The North London club have scored five goals and conceded zero in the league during that time, with players showcasing the ability to adapt to different systems under Thomas Frank.

Tottenham look ‘solid’ under Thomas Frank this season

Tottenham fans will be happy to see that the players are quickly adapting to Thomas Frank’s system. The Lilywhites have already secured a mighty win against Manchester City last weekend, after a stellar performance against PSG to commence the season. If things go as planned for the Danish tactician, then the North London club has a real shot of winning silverware this season.

Now, ex-Spurs player Stephen Kelly has praised the impressive work Thomas Frank has done during his short time at N17. Speaking to the BBC, Kelly said,

“It’s all going well, isn’t it? It was interesting after watching the Super Cup against Paris St-Germain, as that was the first real glimpse to get an idea of what they were going to be like, and they’ve started the league really well.”

The ex-Spurs player added,

“He’s willing to mix things up and get the players in, and it feels like he has a squad he can do that with, which is really good to see. There’s a real confidence within the group as well. As soon as a manager comes in and he gives you that confidence, it makes the world of difference. They just feel like a solid unit now.”

Stephen Kelly has insisted that Tottenham have managed to build on the performance against PSG by winning their first two games of the new Premier Leagues season. The ex-player adds that Thomas Frank has managed to mix his style and system, depending on the opposition, and the players have quickly responded to that. Kelly also believes that there is growing confidence within the squad, and the Lilywhites look like a ‘solid unit’ under Thomas Frank.

Fans will hope that the good performances continue as the season shifts into another gear. After a strong start to the campaign, all eyes will be on Thomas Frank as he looks to maintain the momentum and get Spurs competing hard on all four fronts as the season progresses.
