Zakaria Aboukhlal underwent the first part of his Torino medical today in a €10m transfer from Toulouse. ‘It was the right decision to come here.’

He arrived for his medical tests this afternoon and will finish off the process on Tuesday morning before putting pen to paper on the contract.

“I am ready to start,” Aboukhlal told reporters from Sky Sport Italia.

“Toro are a great team and a club with so much history. I think it was the right decision to come here.”

Aboukhlal brings quality to Torino

The attacking wide man turned 25 in February and has 22 senior caps for Morocco, although he was born and raised in the Netherlands, playing for that country up to Under-20 level.

A product of the Willem II and PSV Eindhoven academies, AZ Alkmaar sold him to Toulouse in 2022 for €2m.

With a contract that is running down in June 2026, Torino were able to secure the talented forward for just €10m.

Last season, he scored seven goals and provided four assists in just 26 Ligue 1 appearances for his club.

He had knee surgery in September 2023 that kept him out of action for six months.
