In recent months, the goalkeeping position at Paris Saint-Germain has been the subject of rumor. Despite having Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Parisians have been linked with players who could potentially replace the Italian.

Although it seems the Parisians are sticking with the 25-year-old for next season, one player they’re currently linked to, AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, could be available this summer or later.

Maignan is under contract with the Serie A side until 2026, but talks over an extension aren’t proceeding in the right direction. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Maignan’s requests for a new contract at AC Milan are causing frustration among the club’s leadership.

The French goalkeeper currently earns €2.8 million per year, and he likely wants a pay increase to reflect his status on the team. Will the player receive that bump in salary? It will be interesting to see how this story develops and whether PSG does indeed stick with Donnarumma.

Maignan has made 42 appearances across all competitions this season while registering 15 clean sheets for the Italian side.
