AC Milan hero Rivera: Time for De Ketelaere to prove himself

Former AC Milan star Gianni Rivera has told Charles de Ketelaere it's time to prove himself.

The Belgium striker struggled in his first season in Italy, despite an exciting reputation.

Milan coach Stefano Pioli has insisted De Ketelaere has the talent to make it at Milan.

Rivera told Il Corriere della Sera: "I don't know him well enough to be able to say what's best for him.

"If he's got what it takes, he'll have to bring it out, if they are obstacles that block him then the club must remove them."
