AC Milan icon Gullit: Pioli doing great job

AC Milan great Ruud Gullit says coach Stefano Pioli should be confirmed for next season.

Gullit was speaking ahead of tonight's derby, which could see Inter Milan crowned as Italian champions.

He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "At Milan they would have preferred a different match, let's say not a decisive one, but given the situation I'm sure they will do everything not to lose.

"Inter cannot celebrate the championship in a derby at Milan's home! Having said that we must admit that the Inter are playing very well and not from today: they are favourites to win this evening, that's how it is."

On Pioli, he continued: "He did a great job.

"I don't know, I'm reading things. But I think he did a great job at Milan."
